Porsche Buyers Tips – Avoid Getting Ripped Off!
Before you think about purchasing a Porsche it’s important to learn as many Porsche buying tips as possible. So many Porsches on the market today are nothing more than rebuilt junk. They may look pretty on the outside but underneath they could be hiding some very serious problems that could end up costing you a huge sum of money, or in worse case scenarios the car itself.
The data check
When you first arrive at the sellers house, garage, dealership or wherever you will be buying the Porsche from make sure before you start inspecting the car you ask to see all of the relevant documents. Run a data check to make sure there are no recorded damages you haven’t been told about, check to make sure that the car hasn’t been stolen and will be a legal purchase. You will be surprised how easily people can be fooled.
The inspection
Before you start to check over the car itself make sure you have made sure that all of the V.I.N numbers are in the right place and show no signs of tampering and movement. If they show any signs of disturbance then ask questions and make sure you get a valid reason. There could be hidden damages that you are not aware of and replacement parts that you haven’t been informed about.
The test drive
The most important Porsche buying tip of all. Make sure you get a long test drive. Check the steering on various different roads and surfaces, listen and make sure everything sounds in order, check the brakes on different roads and check that the acceleration is up to scratch. If you feel you need a second test drive or want to go on longer then offer to buy the fuel and take it out again. A good Porsche seller will understand this.
Remember that good Porsche usually come from good people. If the seller is forcing you into making a purchase or not giving you the time you need to make up your mind then unless you are certain that you want the car then don’t buy. It could a decision you will regret for years to come.
