The new handset is “housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel” and features a Lamborghini signature on the battery cover, similar to the one on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640′s V12 engine block. Built by ModeLabs, the Tag Heuer Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini also features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal display, 2MP camera, 2GB of internal memory and a battery that can last up to7 hours in talk time mode, or up to 28 days in standby. Its starter prices ring in ranges that most would consider entirely unaffordable: 3,500 Euros (or approximately ,723) to 4,500 Euros (or approximately ,072).While that price is likely too rich for many people’s blood, TAG Heuer even says “some diamond-finished models with prices starting at 8,500 Euros are already on the horizon”. That’s approximately ,470 or, for some, the price of a car. But with the MERIDIIST, TAG Heuer clearly isn’t trying to be affordable nor is it trying to appeal to a broad array of people.
